There are few things as liberating as being able to fly, which is why humans invented airplanes and why penguins constantly try to sabotage them by climbing into their jet engines. Feel the freedom of the skies with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $99 for an introductory flight lesson (a $230 value)
  • $159 for an introductory flight lesson for two (a $405 value)

Instructors review the lesson route and orient students with their checklist and aircraft controls during a one-hour on-ground session at Republic Airport. In between takeoff and landing, subsequent one-hour flights with instructors imbue pupils with fundamentals such as climbing, descending, and executing left and right turns. In the two-person option, one student flies for one hour to a distant airport, at which the group stops for refreshment. The second student then pilots the plane back to home base, ending the three-hour experience.

Danny Waizman Flight School And Aircraft Rental

A certified flight instructor for single and multiengine aircrafts, Danny Waizman has soared skyward from Farmingdale's Republic Airport since 1996. In a fleet of Cessna, Piper Cherokee, and Beechcraft planes, Danny's students hone their flying skills during one-on-one lessons tailored to each pupil's pace and goals, such as achieving a private pilot license. For apprentice aviators eyeing a piloting career from the get-go, Danny's career pilot program––based in New York City––trains attendees with more than 100 hours in the cockpits of multiengine planes. Alongside training the next wave of captains, Danny’s team supplies holey kites and airborne aficionados aching for postgrad midair excursions with aircrafts for sale.
