A good belly laugh exercises the abdomen, improves a cloudy mood, and comforts homesick reindeer with familiar Santa-esque sounds. Ease a four-legged friend's melancholy with this GrouponLive deal to a comedy show at Flappers Comedy Club. This Groupon is redeemable at two locations. Check the Burbank calendar and Claremont calendar for shows and times. For $15, you get a night of comedy for two (up to a $55 value, including all fees), which includes:

  • Two tickets for general-admission seating (up to a $20 value each)
  • One order of chicken wings (a $9 value)
  • One piece of chocolate cake to share (a $6 value)

Veteran comics Barbara Holliday and Dave Reinitz helm Flappers, where renowned comedians such as Adam Sandler and Susie Abraham have stopped by to tickle the funny bones of audience members at two area stages. Some of the upcoming performers in May include headliner Dwayne Perkins, a Brooklyn native who, on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, pondered which emoticons are platonic and which are flirty. Opening several of his showcases are comics Kwame Siegel and Gillian Bellinger, a star in the hilariously scary movie Feeding Frenzy. Later in the month, the satirical political punditry of Will Durst casts its ballot to spread belly laughs among the people. Durst has mocked both sides of the political aisle, taking inspiration from lifelong heroes Thomas Jefferson and Bugs Bunny to inject humor and intentional absurdity into guest spots on C-SPAN and CNN.

Now this is a classy comedy club! It was nice and clean, the seats were comfortable, and the food was great!

The comics were good, honest, blunt, and carefree. Lets face it, it is a true comedy place. If you are looking for some fun, this is the place.
