Though American highways offer easy driving, speedy travel, and smooth surfaces, they lack the excitement of drag racing a yeti. Roam the forest atop an ATV with today’s Groupon: for $89, you get an ATV Experience for two from Revolution, The Off-Road Experience in Clermont (a $140 value). The 70-minute adventure includes the following for both participants:
- An ATV
- Helmets, goggles, and gloves
- A safety briefing
Revolution dishes up adrenaline on its massive property of pavement-free trails, training riders to safely operate extreme vehicles before sending them off on wild rides. The ATV experience commences with a beginners’ safety lesson in the specially built training area, covering braking, how to traverse hills, and safe-riding and -driving skills. Then, drivers are set loose on a powerful ATV upon which they navigate the facility’s 220 acres of trails full of tight turns, steep hills, and a perpetual sunset for dramatic exits. Each experience is fully customizable to the riders’ comfort level, from rough, log-speckled terrain for advanced ATV-jockeys to easy inclines for beginners and those with severe allergies to hills. All required safety equipment—including helmets, gloves, and goggles—is provided, but riders with suitable gear can bring their own if they choose. Anyone younger than 16 will be required to ride along as a passenger with one of the guides.
Revolution, The Off-Road Experience
A fleet of ATVs, Jeep 4x4s, and dune buggies carries passengers on wild, pavement-free rides through more than 240 acres of Floridian tropics at Revolution, The Off-Road Experience. Behind the wheel of a Jeep, or the 8-wheeled amphibious vehicle called the Mucky Duck, drivers can wheel up man made steps instead of looking for a nearby escalator. Alternately, the company’s local body of water, Revolution Lake, lets adventurers take advantage of 60 acres of sport fishing, where they can catch, photograph, and release specimens such as largemouth bass, croppies, snook, and bowfin.
