Rosario's Restaurant

Made up of fried hot dog slices, fries, and cabbage salad, the Peruvian specialty salchipapas wouldn't feel out of place on the menu at any North American diner. It's a fitting overlap for the cooks at Rosario's Restaurant, who specialize in both Peruvian and American delicacies. For dinner, try a potato slice smothered in spicy cheese sauce or ceviche, a serving of lime juice-marinated tilapia served with hot pepper sauce. Of the American-influenced dishes, there are 10-ounce ribeyes in red wine reduction sauce and tops hand-pattied burgers with housemade pork green chili.

That green chili reappears at breakfast—it gets slathered over a feast of pork chops, eggs, and hash browns. Among the Peruvian morning specialties: steak skillets with cilantro and diced potatoes and American fare including crab cake benedict with chipotle hollandaise sauce and Patrick Henry pullstring dolls.
