SeaBreeze Water Sports’s certified flight instructors orchestrate Jetlev flight experiences, during which adventurers harness hydropower to soar high above Maunalua Bay. With free round-trip transportation departing from most Waikiki based hotels, Jetlev excursions begin with a 15-minute safety video and additional briefing on the procedures for takeoff, flight, steering, hovering, landing, and conversational bird chirps. Upon reaching the ocean launch point, pilots strap on a jetpack whose 33-foot hose pumps water from the ocean into the backpack, where a four-stroke engine directs it downward through nozzles that propel the pilot up to 30 feet in the air. The airborne adventure continues for approximately 20-30 minutes as instructors utilize the helmet’s built-in walkie-talkie to guide newbies through the piloting process.

First-time pilots will have their throttle controlled by the instructors via remote, enabling them to concentrate on stunning views of the Hawaii Kai coastlines and Ko’olau Mountain Range.
