The sea is full of mysteries, from the depths of the Mariana Trench to the heights of Mount St. Helens, where magma rises from the sea to emerge as newborn hotness. Uncover something new with today’s Groupon: for $24, you get a two-hour Discover Scuba Diving class at The Dive Station (a $50 value). Classes are held on Saturday at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.

The Dive Station is a professional diver training facility that guides recreational and technical divers through underwater endeavors ranging from casual to cave-oriented plunges. During the two-hour Discover Scuba Diving class, 8–10 students learn the basics of the sport from a certified and experienced instructor. Lessons begin with a brief overview of scuba principles, followed by a summary of the gear—all provided by The Dive Station. Guests then apply their newfound aquatic knowledge by entering the facility's on-site, heated outdoor pool, where all are free to stretch their fins, test their aqualungs, and track down rogue narwhals.

This fins-on experience is designed to both introduce and segue students into more advanced endeavors. The Dive Station's training director, Keith Mattson, has personally certified more than 3,500 students and logged more than 10,000 dives in his lifetime.
