Outstanding place! They are very organized, efficient, and provide a safe experience. My only complaint is that at Kendall I can't pickup my season pass card from the place I dropped it off after I kayak.

I loved having unlimited access to kayaking from 5 different locations. My favorite was in Waltham at the Moody St dam. There aren't many motorized boats around, you can go for a few miles before you have to turn around, and the scenery is very serene most of the way. The Mystic River location is a mixed bag. They have parking and bathrooms, but the water is really filthy for the first couple of miles, and there are motorized boats. But you can go for 6 miles up to the Mystic Lakes. The scenery is lovely after 2 or 3 miles, especially once you're at the Lakes. If you portage the kayak up to Upper Mystic Lake and keep going past the beach and around the bend you may see baby swans. But don't go if you aren't up for 5+ hours. And don't try to use the bathroom or get any water at the marina/restaurant next to the dam between the 2 Mystic Lakes. It's a private club (no sign visible from the water). Just use the portajohns at the beach on the Upper Mystic instead and bring plenty of water. Cambridge and Brighton locations have too many motorized boats around, and the urban setting isn't as relaxing. At Newton, if you go right you'll have to turn back in maybe 20-30 min, if you go left it's peaceful but a little boring- 2nd best choice after Waltham if you want a short paddle though, and they do have parking and bathrooms.

This was a great opportunity to take advantage of their many locations for kayaking in the Boston area. My biggest regret is that I was not able to start it earlier in the summer. Will definitely be back next summer to take more advantage of this great local resource.
