About Colchester Equines

No matter how young or green the equestrians, the instructors at Colchester Equines can shape them into seasoned riders. Their horseback-riding lessons kick off with a 90-minute intro for beginners, which teaches the basics of whatever style the student prefers: hunter/jumper, English, or Western. After they feel more comfortable, they can taken a guided trail ride at nearby Lake Anna State Park.

Loved it..went after it had rained so trail was muddy other than that didn't have a problem with the horses. Will be going again when it's a little warmer.

Beautiful horses and trail, unfortunately we went on a drizzling day so everything was pretty muddy. Were hoping they had ponies for our smaller children, but they didnt at the time. They were nice enough to walk the trail and hold the harness of our young ones bridle.
