My son really enjoyed it here. He was on the younger side of most kids (5) but they were very attentive and patient with him. He brought home some beautiful artwork which we have now framed.

They are wonderful with kids.

Staff was great. One thing to note is that you start out drawing. So you don’t get to jump to painting for the 4 classes.

The staff and the teacher are really good, I felt this is a real art school also for kids (not the topical art and craft place), my kids really enjoyed it. Thanks

It was so so. Didn't teach techniques but rather put them in a room and let them be. Very good at followup calls but thats about it.

From Our Editors

The meaning of art may be subjective, but Mission: Renaissance believes that the basic, technical skills needed to create art are learnable, regardless of a student’s age or experience. The instructors at the studio, which was originally founded in 1975, illuminate the Gluck Method, which focuses on the classic rendering techniques that the great masters used. The classes can accommodate students as young as 5, and they explore a number of different mediums—including charcoal, watercolors, and oils—while giving attendees the experience they need to appreciate art, as well as create it. Attendance is capped at around six students per instructor, which allows them to offer artists more personalized feedback.
