Had a tremendous meal at Izzy's. They were nice enough to accommodate our visit, despite the place being packed and we had no reservations. The 8 oz filet mignon was cooked to perfection and tasted so so good. The Chicken Piccata was also oh so good. The breading and frying was again perfect. The "Izzy's Potatoes" (scalloped) were delicious. Melt in your mouth good. The waiter was awesome. The ambiance very nice; restrooms nicely decorated and clean. My only suggestion is to improve the table bread. I suggest you contract for Wedemeyer's from SSF for their sourdough. Best bread in the Bay Area. I think they deliver to many restaurants in a form where the restaurant bakes the last 15 minutes on site. One other comment was the bourdelaise sauce: very thick. Maybe that is the way it is supposed to be but I would prefer it to be a bit thinner and maybe a bit less sweet. But it was still good!

My roast beef was delicious, my husband’s steak was tasty but a little chewy. Nice to see restaurant busy on weekday night.

Rack of lamb really not a rack but loin chops presented on a plate of beans. Apple jelly NO mint jelly available.

The outdoor setting was beautiful and warm! The food, drinks, and service were great, as always! We felt very safe with all the precautions taken by the restaurant. We’ll be back soon!
