Massage Retreat and Spa was overly helpful when I ran into a problem with my appointment. Thank you so much!

Pros: I went to the Eden Prairie location. My facial was amazing! My face looks refreshed and my skin feels amazing. Cons: My massage was disappointing. However, I don't blame it on the massage therapist. They scheduled my massage with Leo who's specialty is deep tissue massage. I specifically said I wanted a regular swedish type massage when I scheduled the appointment. Anyway, right away we started 10 min late because they were running behind. I was told we would make up the time. However, instead of going from 6:10 to 7:10pm to make up the hour we went from 6:10-6:57pm (usually they only go until :55 I was told). That's great I got 2 extra minutes, but when you start 10 minutes late that doesn't mean much. Additionally, the place is attached in a strip mall area so other businesses surround the building. During my whole massage I could hear a very deep guy's voice as well as a woman's and actually asked if their break room was next to the massage room. I was told no and that it unfortunately was from the business they share a wall with. My massage therapist turned up the music to try and drown out the sound, but that didn't do much. I couldn't relax and it's the first massage I've had where I didn't even come close to drifting off to sleep. Lastly, they have you check out in front of other guests and instead of printing out a receipt for you to write tips on, they ask you in front of everyone if you want to leave a gratuity and how much you want to leave. In my opinion, it's really unprofessional. I told her I gave the therapist who did my facial cash for gratuity, but had to use my card for the massage therapist. Oh, and you're responsible for paying the tax on the Groupon, which is why you need to check out.

My hour facial was 40 minutes. It would have been good if was what I paid for.
