About El Pollo Loco

Since 1980, the staff at El Pollo Loco have been perfecting and selling their special recipe of chicken, marinated in a secret blend of herbs, citrus juices, and spices. Each day, they grill about 147 of them at each of their restaurants to go in burritos, salads, or whole-chicken meals. To complement each chicken, they make their salsas, guacamoles, and dressings fresh each day, cutting tomatoes and hass avocados each day. Sides of rice, black beans, or corn mixed with red peppers provide quick, but healthy, alternatives to most fast food options.

The food was good even though we did not get the fight salad or the added sour cream we ordered online. We did not go back to rectify the order because we had already waited longer than the online order stated. We tried to pick up our order at the drive through window but was told to go inside, we waited for awhile at the “online order” counter before anyone helped us. The gal at the register kept taking new customers, everyone behind the counter stared at us as if they couldn’t speak, finally the lead brought the time up to the attention of the cashier who hadn’t even bagged our food even though it had been sitting on the counter ready to go. Of all the “El Pollo Loco’s” we go to, this locathas disappointed a few times. We keep hoping it will get better as we like the convenience of it’s proximity to us but we’re going to have to pass on going back for awhile. If we didn’t like the food we’d stop all together.
