Earning an honourable mention for Best Other Asian 2009 from Vancouver Magazine, Azia serves up an expansive menu of authentic cuisine from all fortune-filled corners of the Asian continent, specializing in Japanese and Chinese. Diners can sample the fresh sushi stylings of fan-favourite rolls such as the Dancing Godzilla roll (prawn tempura, smoked salmon, cream cheese, mayo, unagi sauce, $11.25) and the Mighty Atom roll (unagi, avocado, crab, tempura prawn, cucumber, $11.25). Many of Azia’s specialties are made to share, so diners should feel free to order a few dishes for the hungry table and ravenous chairs. Reviews
The Vancouver Sun and Vancouver Courier both featured Azia. Yelpers give it a three-star average, and OpenTable reviewers give it a four-star average.
- The menu is long and varied but it doesn't careen through the cuisines. It's more a wish list of everything the owners (Ed Lum, who also owns Shanghai Bistro on Alberni Street, and pal Mike Sam) want to eat themselves. – Mia Stainsby, Vancouver Sun
- The food is good and service is always great. Very friendly, efficient and clean and quick! – OpenTable reviewer who dined on 18/10/2010
