Dimensional traveling often results in anachronistic adventures, such as fighting a cybernetic Napoleon. It’s nice to know that a trip to The Beatnix Café, where today's Groupon gets you $20 worth of sandwiches, soups, salads, coffee, and tea for $10, always has its time and place.

Beatnix Café’s reality-forcefield device keeps it locked in this world, so you don’t have to listen to Susan B. Anthony while perusing the menu. For morning sustenance, Beatnix features the Daddy O French Toast with your choice of bread base ($2.98 for two slices). During lunch, the Groovy Grilled Chicken Sandwich stands tall with toasted wheat bread, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion with mayo or your choice of dressing ($5.89). All salads start with a base of fresh organic spring mix, baby spinach, and red-leaf lettuce combined with freshly grated carrots and red cabbage (starting at $5.49), and soups are made from scratch ($3.49 for an 8-ounce cup).

The café also has a new art-studio space next door and features artwork from members of Oklahoma City’s artistic community and the outlying dimensions. See artists like Brent Weber, Ginette Adamson, Atilla the Hun of Earth 7, and Ben Potter. While browsing the exhibits or using free WiFi, sip selections from the extensive drink menu, such as a green-tea smoothie with fruit ($3.49), a chai crème ($3.69), or an Italian soda ($2.69). Beatnix's espresso bar is full of drinks to keep you good and jittery in case the paradox matrix fails and you’re suddenly confronted with pretentious duplicates of yourself from other realities.
