About C House Lounge Café
At C House Lounge Café, the chef, the specialty ingredients, the decor, and even the café itself have been imported straight from Italy. In fact, Toronto is the first North American outpost of this upscale eatery whose locations span the globe. In its posh, subterranean location down a short flight of stairs and behind tall glass doors, the Toronto café surrounds its clientele with a chic, upbeat atmosphere that morphs throughout the day. In the earlier hours, pastries mingle with a lineup of classic Italian-style macchiatos and numerous riffs on coffee and hot chocolate; from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the interior transforms into a low-lit cocktail lounge with a brightly lit quantum portal to Venice. All the while, the kitchen churns out plates piled with bruschetta, open-faced sandwiches, and lasagna platters decorated with slabs of eggplant parmesan and ground meat slathered in béchamel sauce.
