About Chaise Lounge
"You could say Chaise Lounge is below high-end but above 'Cheers,'" co-owner Alain Ng told Sacramento Business Journal of his brand new Asian-fusion eatery. It straddles this line between fancy and casual in many ways, not the least of which is its menu. Chaise Lounge's chefs craft traditional Asian specialties with delicious, but whimsical additions. Curry katsudon is wrapped in a burrito. Egg rolls come stuffed with cheeseburger fixings. Tacos hold morsels of marinated pig's ear. Even the bar bites have a twist, as the fries are made from taro root and the wings come with tonkatsu sauce.
These fusion dishes pair with equally creative libations mixed at the full bar, including ginger cosmos and Asian pear martinis. Amid the unique flavors and aromas, however, is a familiar sight: televisions, including multiple HDTVs and one gigantic projection screen, regularly broadcast the big game.
