A Chat with House Yoga
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
House Yoga’s mission is to build a strong, dedicated, and caring kula, or community, in which students can feel comfortable in their own skin and practice level at House Yoga. As a veteran-owned business, the importance of strengthening the mind, body, spirit, and community is our goal.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Exercise routines are rough! But with a strong mind, there comes a strong will. And with a strong will comes motivation. We first cultivate our minds to clearly see our goals. Once we have a clear goal, we can then find a routine that works for the individual.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
There is camaraderie in yoga, like the camaraderie, trust, love, friendship, growth, and teamwork that is found in the military. This business was started so that Kenilworth and the surrounding towns can find a place where all that can be built, fostered, and encouraged through powerful yoga practice.
What do you love most about your job?
Yoga brings peace to the mind, strength to the body, and confidence to the spirit. The physical postures are important, but it’s what you actually learn from the practice. I love being able to watch students discover the depth of yoga and to be able to assist them.
