Without casual dining, the 13% of Americans unable to tie a bow tie would surely starve. Safeguard yourself with or without black tie garb with today's deal: for $10, you get $20 worth of stir-fried Asian and Indian cuisine at either of Masala Wok's two Virginia locations in Herndon or Fairfax.

Masala Wok's expansive menu features new Asian, Thai, and Indian flavors to help diners recreate the wondrous lies of Marco Polo, gentleman fabricator. Accompany your stomach's journey down the Spice Road with an appetizer of zesty battered chicken lollipops, an Indian take on wings (four for $4.99, eight for $8.49), before choosing your favorite flavor-corner of the East with a main course. Try a subcontinental delicacy such as the spicy southern curry with red-pepper-bedecked fish, shrimp, chicken, lamb, or paneer in a mustard-coconut sauce ($8.99), or head for steamy Southeast Asian environs with the Thai-influenced spicy basil plate ($8.50 for chicken, $8.35 paneer, $9.50 shrimp or fish). Lock lips with the orange chicken, stir-fried with scallions and carrots in orange sauce ($8.50), or skewer your stomach's overwhelming sense of emptiness with a chicken malai kabob—yogurt-marinated boneless chicken kabobs grilled with cheese, spices, and cilantro and served with rice and naan ($8.99).

The Washington Post reviewed Masala Wok, recommending it for a quick bite to eat. Yelpers give both the Herndon and Fairfax locations an average of three stars and 74% of Urbanspooners recommend the former:

  • …The real star is the chicken lollipops… Wow. The best way I can describe them is the Indian version of Buffalo chicken wings. Each spicy, batter-dipped drummette is about three bites worth of fiery, addictive pleasure. – Candy Sagon, Washington Post
  • …A great place to go hang out with friends or grab a quick meal in the middle of the day. – Dan F., Yelp, Fairfax location

Customer Reviews

The food is excellent, very clean restaurant. So happy to find decent, cheap Indian food closer than Irving.

Great concept with some well balanced lighter dishes and good portion sizes. I like that you can order Chinese Kung pow and Indian chicken korma at the same time and please all in one stop! The food seems to be lighter and healthier than most other options and they are quick to order. Great place!
