Always very friendly & helpful, I stopped by at 04:51 this morning just to realize that they're not currently operating 24- hours a day, I think they said they're open from 06:00 in the morning through 01:30 in the morning, just so you don't waste your time... But the food & service there are just so authentic & good that I hung around in Seattle until I was able to order before I went home to eastside, if that tells you anything, because I rarely will wait around on anything... My favorite is the Washington (aka the California) burrito, basically a carne asada burrito with cheese, sour cream, guac, & french fried potatoes in with the carne asada... YUMMY!
And it'd be almost impossible to go wrong with some crowd-pleasing CARNE ASADA FRENCH FRIES, loaded with meat, cheese, & pico de gallo.. mmmm..
Open 24 hours and the food is more authentic than most but the highest $ restaurants. The soda fountain could use revanping but glad to see salsa /sauce bar has been bought back for under $10 you can get quite satisfied. Have been returning here for 5+years.
I grew up in San Diego, not to far from the border. I Love mexican food grew up on it and was blessed to have easy and plentiful access. Then we moved to WA, it all changed, just not the same, except Memo's in my opinion they are one of the best.

About Memo's Mexican Food
King5 placed Memo's Mexican Food among the top five Best Burrito spots in 2009 and 2010, and for good reason. Each jumbo burrito overflows with some savory combination of top-sirloin steak, Mexican-style pork, roasted vegetables, and perhaps some guac or sour cream. But burritos aren't the only draw to this 24/7 University District diner. Memo's chefs also serve taquitos, tortas, crispy tacos, and chimichangas, as well as all-day breakfast items including huevos rancheros and ham-and-egg scrambles. They handcraft secret hot sauces that have been known to set off the mouth's built-in sprinkler system. And to ensure customers fully enjoy their plates, they build their meals from all-natural ingredients and cook with vegetable oil, never lard.
