A Chat with Ricochet
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Ricochet is an entertaining studio where students learn how to design and create their own garments and accessories and learn to use their sewing machine independently from Jill Pillot, by up-cycling the unused garments and rescued materials.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
Having your own sewing machine is recommended, but we have some available for a small rental fee. Classes are every Tuesday and Wednesday: 4pm - 6pm
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
My inspiration began when I moved to the US and my eyes were opened to the lack of creativity and environmentalism in people's everyday lives. So Ricochet was born to create a place for the community to help inspire and explore their sense of creativity with the environment in mind.
What do you love most about your job?
The things I love most about my job is being able to do something I love while at the same time helping out the community. I love to inspire every person I meet and see each individual student grow and explore their creativity through my classes and internships, as well as my own designs.
