I loved my fire and ice facial with Atena. This may be the best place I've been for a facial in some time and I'll go back :)

The office was clean, staff was friendly. I bought a voucher for 1 microneedling treatment which I had to redeem using my phone app in front of the front desk staff, right there, not a minute later, otherwise you can't get treatment. I was told the treatment left a red face like if you got a sunburn, however after the treatment I ended up with red marks under my eyes (like if someone had punch me on the face) I was told the redness would go away in 48 hrs. It has been an entire week and I still have light pink marks that have not completely disappeared. The marks were so difficult to cover with make-up due to the deep red color of them so I had been hiding in public places wearing sunglasses (in the winter!) I wish there had been more preparation or a heads up on behalf of the staff. That day of the treatment I was not told to bring sunglasses, luckily I had mine with me, otherwise I would not have had been able to leave the building looking the way I was looking. If you do microneedling, make sure it's on a Friday because it literally took at least 3 complete days for the red marks to look less intense, then they became more purple bruise looking. My face feels more smooth but nothing amazingly different. Another thing, your face peels off some of the skin after the treatment so keep that in mind because foundation does not look that smooth due to the fact that you are missing some chunks of the first layer of skin.

I waited 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be called. When my peel was completed, the aesthetician left my hair wrap on and the tissue in place covering my blouse to protect it. It was certainly not the best office experience. The true proof will be in the peel in the next few days!

I purchased the 3 sessions IPL from Groupon and went for my first Session. The Esthetician I think her name was ETina assessed my skin and started the procedure. The process was completed in less than 5 minutes. She never go though the second pass. She appeared to be rushed. After I left the office my face was in the same condition as I went in and nothing has changed. I did a little researched on Youtube to get some understanding about how IPL works and realized that after the IPL your face should dart spot and hyperpigmentation and it would fall off after awhile but that is not the case. The second session the same Esthetician asked my if my skin look better and I told her I haven't see any difference at all and asked her if she can adjust the intensity of the machine and she say yes but she want to be caution about it. So again she went through the process but this time I can tell that she increased the intensity of the laser because after the procedure was completed my dark spot got darker immediately. Once done she stress wearing sun screen. Then asked my if I know what is the SPF number stands for and was told that 30 means 30 minutes and 50 means 50 minutes. I wanted to crack up but didn't. I know this is definitely incorrect. For her to say something like that would make the practice look bad. I feel like I want to tell her when I go in for the last session that the information that she provided is incorrect.
