Small plates pack the punch of larger portions in an easy-to-digest form, much like cocktail sausages or action movie trailers. Experience mouthwatering miniaturization with today's Groupon: $20 for $40 worth of small plates and elegant New American fare from Taste Restaurant's dinner menu, or $10 for $20 worth of lunch fare.

Taste Restaurant serves elegant New American entrees and small plates of internationally-influenced fare in a hip, modern setting. A lunch menu of shareable selections lets diners mix-and-match three bites for $11. Options include a mini grilled mahi mahi burger and a fresh mozzarella and tomato salad with balsamic glaze. The dinner menu lists elegantly prepared American classics such as filet mignon ($28) and grilled salmon ($18). Pair plates with a martini to make flavors come alive and serenade your tongue with John Fogerty lyrics.

Taste's commitment to creativity and taste extends to its décor. Neutral hues (a fuzzy beige sofa along the wall, mottled buff wallpaper at the bar) and clean lines (bare brick walls and study wood chairs) put the mind in a place of restfulness exactly unlike the inside of a sock drawer.

OpenTable reviewers give Taste Restaurant a 4.3-star average. Nine Yelpers give it an average of three stars and 78% of Urbanspooners like it:

  • Loved the old brick, dark atmosphere with the James Taylor/Frank Sinatra type of singer on the electric piano. The absolutely the very best food in town. – OpenTable.com reviewer who dined on 9/17/2010
  • This fine establishment has everything needed to obtain the eye, taste buds, and comfort most fine restaurants do not offer. The ambiance is refined, beautifully designed, and the servers are warm and engaging. – Alex Arenson, Urbanspoon
