Neighborhoods value their pubs as a place to socialize, just as they value the ends of their rainbows as a place to find extra parking-meter change. Enjoy camaraderie at close proximity with today's Groupon: for $7, you get $14 worth of pub fare and drinks at The Bitter End Pub. Check out what The Bitter End currently has on tap.

The Bitter End calms hops-focused thirsts and roaring hungers with a plethora of pub eats and brewed options. Settle into a rustic seat and grasp a mug from an expansive beer menu of 20 draught local and nationally recognized brews, including Widmer Hefeweizen, Stella Artois, and Amnesia Desolation IPA, a beer discovered in the wilderness being raised by a pack of orange soda cans. Coinciding with its libation listings, the pub's fare menu treats gullets with fried delights and grilled grub, such as the garlic- and italian-seasoning-dusted cheesy garlic fries ($6.50), the mini corndogs plate ($5.50), and the double meat, double cheese, and bacon stacked Ridiculous burger ($9).

In order to prevent showing favoritism to taste and smell alone, The Bitter End pleases patrons' remaining three senses with a smattering of interactive entertainments. Compete in small-scale competition with a game of free foosball, or test complex ball-to-pocket geometry formulas in billiards, a game specifically designed to find a use for mathematics. Customers can also try their hand at one of a selection of electronic video games, or fill their visual receptors by gazing at a sporting match on one of the pub's eight HD televisions.

Groupon is donating $1 from every Portland deal sold on Portland Beer Day to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation's scholarship fund; up to $2,000 will be donated. Named for the late brewer Glen Hay, the foundation provides area brewers with opportunities to further their craft. In 2011, it is offering educational scholarships to the World Brewing Academy at the Siebel Institute and to the American Brewers Guild.
