Thanks to the miles of beautiful beaches, stunning art deco architecture, and four-star resorts in Miami, activities can be found at nearly every turn. The culinary scene is an eclectic and exciting one—local cuisine is influenced by flavors of Cuban, Mexican, and other Latin American styles—and it’s matched by the cocktail lounges and salsa clubs that drive the city’s fast-paced tempo. Of course, there are plenty of great kids’ activities in Miami, too. Zoo Miami, about a half-hour from downtown, is the largest and oldest in the state. Across Biscayne Bay on Virginia Key is Miami Seaquarium, a 38-acre oceanarium that’s the oldest in the entire nation.
