Comfort Inn

Slimy business practice! Long winded: I booked my stay early so I could get a good rate. I chose the Military (Leisure) rate on the website which got me a basic double Queen room for about 120 USD. However, 3 days before I arrive, I receive an email from the “Sales Manager” to call them back. I call and they tell me they cannot honour my rate because I’m not there for official military business. They told me I chose the Military/government rate when I booked. I didn’t argue because I’m on a long distance call racking up the minutes and didn’t want to sound rude. They give me the Canadian govt rate but because it’s a “Concert night” it’s well over 200USD per night. Then they stack another discount and give me the room finally for 190 +tax US for the night. I looked around but there are no other hotels in the area near that price so I didn’t cancel. I checked the website after the call and all the prices were updated to be almost double than when I originally booked! As I was leaving early the next morning, I noticed the parking lot was near empty and there was not many people at this hotel in general, so I’m not sure why they would hike the rate of my stay for a “concert night” Pros: nice size room, nice size fridge and microwave, clean room and staff was friendly! The free breakfast was amazing! Sausage rounds, scrambled eggs, and biscuits and sausage gravy were the hot foods!! Cons: the bed was like sleeping on springs and barely got any sleep at all. Anyway, take a screenshot of your rate if you get a good one so they can’t Jack up the price immediately before your stay!!

Decent but not as clean as I hoped This is a decent place to stay with comfortable beds and a good breakfast, but not as clean as I had hoped based on the reviews. The housekeepers seem to do a good job with what they have to work with, but the dark counter and tile floor in the bathroom make it hard to see if it’s clean. After running a wet wipe over the bathroom floor, I pulled up a handful of various hairs. The dark grout was discolored in high traffic areas, indicating that it’s not at all clean. The shower, although dated, was very clean. I don’t mind the outdated decor but the brown tiles need to be changed out with a lighter solid surface floor to allow the housekeepers to see whether the mop is leaving anything behind. The bathroom experience made it hard to relax with the knowledge that things that looked clean were definitely not.

Great surprise This was a pleasant surprise for a Comfort Inn. Beautiful, well taken care of. Newly renovated main area and breakfast area. Our bed was very comfortable and the room was very nice. The staff were exceptional. No pool. Right off the highway and close to tons of restaurants and shopping. Will for sure be back.

Allright. The room was quite nice with multiple pillows that were very comfortable and enough blankets for warmth. They accepted pets at a reasonable cost which was also, appreciated. I would return to this hotel. I will also, say that the breakfast offered was, at best, mediocer and heavy in fat content.

Beautiful place to stay Great hotel. Rooms were clean and fresh. The beds were so comfortable. The staff is friendly and polite. Breakfast was really good. The staff showed me how to make a waffle. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
