Smoke smelling rooms, loud cats, and loud "personal" noises from the neighbors First, let me begin by saying that I did not report the noise, but between the smokers room we were placed in, covered by smelly spray, to the cat noises down the hall, and the neighbors that shared a wall with us enjoying each other in a very "personal" way, this hotel smelled terrible and was loud.

Shameful Representation of a Once High Quality Brand We stayed at Howard Johnson’s in 1983 for our family vacation at Disney. I remember going to the counter and having the most delicious hot fudge sundae served to me by a friendly waitress. They had a swimming pool and a fun vibe. This Bangor, ME Howard Johnson is no Howard Johnson. The place has a funny smell. Non smoking room smells like smoke covered with Lysol. No elevator. And free breakfast is a bag filled with packaged honey bun, yogurt, and a Ham and Cheddar Hot Pocket. This is an affront to the Howard Johnson name and shameful representation of a once high quality brand.

Good budget hotel Hojo Bangor is a budget hotel. That said, it is an excellent property. Newly renovated, clean and comfortable room, large area to walk my dog, safe area. Mediocre breakfast selection, but the coffee was drinkable.

Terrible breakfast mediocre service but breakfast (couple of bagged goodies) was rediculous. The staff was sketchy but I think this property is being properly managed from above. There should be ome sort of district management being used to ensure the end motels are being properly motivated and driven to improve
