I loved this place I was only here one night, but I loved the place. Beautiful decor, modern, friendly staff. The room was so nice and allowed me to relax. Fresh linens and towels, no negatives. Nie comfortable bed, so I slept like a rock. Would definite stay here again.

Needed a Deep Clean The prices are very good and the location gives good interstate highway access. Mostly our stay was as expected at this price point; however, the room needed a deep clean. Dirt and dead bugs on the windowsills and the tub had a funky orange discoloration around the drain. We were only there one night and waited until we got home to get a shower.

Making the best of a sad situation! My family and I traveled to Carlisle for my mother’s funeral. While we had plenty of time to plan for this trip, I waited to book our room. I will admit that I was first attracted to their reasonable rates; however, I also was very excited to find a hotel with an indoor heated pool. You see, even though we came for a funeral, we decided to “make the best” of it, and stay for a few extra days. Since we traveled with teenagers, the fact that this hotel is close to everything, has reasonable rates AND a pool made this choice easy. We were greeted by an extremely efficient person, our room was very clean, and breakfast had something for everyone! After our first night, we asked to be moved to a room that faced the parking lot instead of the one by route 81. The staff could not have been more accommodating, pleasant, and efficient! Thankful for having chosen this hotel. The best way to bring some joy to a sad situation.

A Sad Case of Declined Quality We’ve stayed twice each year at this property for the last 10 years, and its QUALITY has gone badly downhill in the last year, especially since it was acquired by Choice. (1) It used to have the BEST breakfast between our home and FL, but this year, the Quality Inn in Mansfield, PA, had a much better one. (2) The "Open" WiFi with NO password caused my MacBook Pro (with Safari) to NOT allow me to join the hotel's unprotected network. Yet, in past years at this property I had no hookup problems with my latest machine and an older MacBook Pro. Such lack of internet protection is STUPID today. (3). The Main Entrance had 2 inches of slush on our arrival on Saturday, and during Sunday's departure, the slush was frozen. This kind of omission could cause a guest to slip-and-fall and a major lawsuit, but the hotel obviously allowed the omission by skimping on weekend maintenance. (4) Our toilet became plugged, but the poor Front Desk receptionist had no one to call because there is no weekend maintenance. Fortunately, the toilet was finally and successfully unpluged. Good thing, because at one point, the water was 1.5 inches below the brim (primarily because the toilet tank leaks constantly); so if the plug had not been freed, significant water damage could have resulted from the third floor mishap. Very poor practice to have a NO on-call maintenance person in case of trouble! (5) The bathroom sink has a unique stopper, which functions in a very strange way, but there is NO INSTRUCTION on how to use it. (6) Our room's door required a push to securely shut. Bottom line: this Country Inn and Suites property is NOT a Quality destination, and it besmirches the brand of Choice Hotels, and I say this as a retired Quality professional, who also happened to be the Chairman of the ~ 4,000 member ASQC Electronics Division in the early 1990s.

Not the hotel for you if you are going there to sleep I was on a long drive, and needed a hotel for the night before another 17 hours of driving the next day. I called the hotel and they had 1 room left. I didn't think of asking if it was a noisy room! I was up the entire night as the hotel is situated right off Interstate 81. I heard trucks all night long, until I couldn't taker it any longer and got into my car a 6 AM. This was a reasonably priced room, but definitely not worth it if you are going there to sleep!!! Aside from that, I asked for a reduction in the room rate. The person at the front desk said the manager would call me, but I never heard back from them.
