Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lafayette East by IHG

Cancellation policy nightmare I booked a room three months in advance and later needed to cancel over a month from the date of stay, but was told they can’t give me any refund. I gave plenty of notice but they’re just being cheap. I am deeply dissatisfied and outraged that I cannot be refunded anything from what I was already charged. It is greedy to keep my money knowing that, since i’ve given a month’s advance notice on my cancellation, someone else will fill the room anyway and they’ll get double the money and I’ll be stuck paying for a room I never even used. Disgusting.

Extremely disappointed and left This property is out dated and dirty. Those that rate it higher might want to look at the Double Tree next door at the same rate and proper hotel, clean, sanitary and modern. It is unbelievable IHG is ok with the condition of this hotel. I checked in recently and left after looking at the conditions and the smell, checking in to the Double tree next door. I was there for a total of 10 minutes. Even the person at the front desk agreed the property management was less than congenial. I stay at IHG properties around the world, and this was by far one of the worst. I have never checked out of a hotel until this stay. If you do stay and second guess if you should, I recommend to leave and go to another property. You will be happy with your decision to leave. I have made several attempts to work back with the management and as others have commented, they are not interested in the customer, instead the quick dollar is more important. I am now considering making the move back to Hilton properties. As a diamond member with Hilton, they continue to take care of the customer and the cleanliness, conditions of the property in this case are a huge difference for the same price. Not Bad, Not Bad at All ..... I stayed here for a single night while passing through town and was also somewhat reluctant based on the reviews. However, at least the night I stayed, the negative reviews aren't warranted. The hotel is in a nice area with restaurants and gas stations nearby, its right off the highway and easy to find. Check in was quick and friendly. The room was standard 10 year old Holiday Inn Express. Spacious, clean but showing signs of age. The good thing is everything worked and the hotel was very quiet: best hotel sleep I've had in a long time. Bed was comfortable as well. I would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

HIE Lafayette I had read many mixed reviews but can only speak about my experience. Check in around 5 pm Alicia was friendly and efficient. Elevator, dining room common areas were very clean. Our room while carpet showed some age again was neat and clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast bar again was clean and better than average. Overall stay for me was a good one Several decent restaurants nearby.

Meh Good: Pillows and hed Breakfast Water pressure Not good: Hallways kind of smelled Pool but no hot tub Needs either updating or really good cleaningSmoke alarm status light is REALLY bright Overall just OK but we'll below some other holiday in. Express hotels that I have stayed at.
