Bed bugs in the room manager or the hotel did NOTHING Middletown Horrible awful smell bed bugs manager is not helpful . Hotel company is horrible please do not book !!! FRIENDLY STAFF! Staff and Management were WONDERFULLY accommodating and kind! We stayed four nights traveling with a teenage sports team. The hotel handled every request with kindness and grace, and they generously tolerated the kids getting noisy and messy (for which we are sorry!). They helped us with things like getting ice for our big coolers to take to our events, they even gave our car a jump when our battery died, even giving us water while we waited for roadside assistance when the battery ended up needing to be replaced. They let us hang out in their lobby all day while we waited, checking in with us to make sure we were ok. With kindness like that, we will surely be returning here to stay again next year during competition season!

Excellent hotel Stopped here one night on our way to Michigan. Lobby and look of hotel not the most appealing but we had an excellent night sleep here. Great bed, great pillows!! Night clerk John was very welcoming and personable. We got up too late for breakfast and the morning clerk was very accommodating, offered us fruit and pastry. Coffee was great too!! We stayed our next two nights at a Comfort inn based upon our experience at this hotel. Unfortunately the Romulus hotel was not even close to this one. Great hotel, great employees!!

EXCELLENT HOTEL We were in town to go to Kings Island. This is a very nice hotel with excellent staff, Nice and friendly. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor and not noisy at all. We will stay here again when back in the area. I do understand dealing with Covid, but this having sack breakfasts needs to stop. If restaurants and other hotels can serve you a hot breakfast then so can they. Get that back and running and it will be perfect. This is a Choice hotel now and it is a Comfort inn and suites

Less food for breakfast now, and hot tub closed - but still a good value I stayed here again in December 2019 after it became a Rodeway Inn, just a few months after my first stay in October, when it was a Holiday Inn. I got a great rate per night as a Choice Hotels rewards member. The front facade work was done and it looked nice. On check-in, I was advised that breakfast was very basic for now until it becomes a Comfort Inn - just cereal, toast, juice, and milk. They might have had coffee as well, I didn't notice because I don't drink coffee. I thought the limited breakfast was fine based on the low rate for the room. On check-in they also advised that the hot tub was now permanently closed, but they still had the pool. I didn't swim this time because the pool didn't look clean, it had a layer of slimy stuff floating on the surface. But again, no big deal based on the rate. My room was nice and comfortable, no problems with the sheets this time, the bed was comfy. The third floor was undergoing renovations, they said they are replacing carpeting. The staff was very nice, as during my last visit. I'll have to try it again in the spring as a Comfort Inn. I'm in Middletown several times a year to visit relatives, overall so far this is the best place to stay among the hotels at the lower rates. I do hope they keep the good lighting in the rooms.
