The only place we stay in Minot This is the only place we stay when we come to Minot. Great location that's easy to get to/from. Breakfast in the morning is good and the kids love making different types of waffles. The pool is pristine and the chemicals are on-point. No overwhelming chorine smell which makes it easy for people to stay in the pool area and watch kids/grandkids.

Very Rude General Manager - No Customer Service Skills - Won't Stay Here Ever Again The General Manager, Ralph Kay, at this hotel has no Customer Service skills and is very very very rude. We had booked our room a month in advance and due to the North Dakota State Fair the room rate was full price (i.e. no CAA discount, no Canadian Friends discount, etc) and our group agreed we would still visit at this time as planned. The check in time is 3:00 p.m. and when we arrived at the hotel at 3:00 p.m. we were told the room wasn't ready and to return in 45 minutes to 1 hour. When we returned in one hour the same front desk person now said check back in one hour as I am not sure when your room will be ready. When we asked to speak to the manager the General Manager came to the front desk and we asked since we are paying full price is there a discount for late check in and he replied sarcastically "No we don't this". Then we asked "so when will the room be ready for check in, in the next hour, two hours, 9 p.m. tonight - give us a time" He replied "Don't you have an attitude with me". Seriously, this manager (and I use the term very lightly) has no concept on how to talk to customers. He just kept repeating "Its the North Dakota State Fair" like that should have any bearing to us, his customers. As the General Manager I would expect that he would plan ahead for a full hotel and extra cleaners to ensure customer commitments are met!! There was no apology, nothing to demonstrate that he was sorry or had regret about the situation and our inconvenience. He does not care about the service the hotel provides or the commitments that it makes to its customers. We will never stay at this hotel again.

Zero stars!!!! Absolutely disgusting breakfast, terrible customer service. Cold shower. Worst hotel ever They literally called me n confirmed my room and then had no record of me when I showed up. Let's not talk about the lady calling me a liar when I said I had no hot water.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever- Poor GM Customer Service Worst Service we have had at ANY hotel- period. We booked our room over a month ago for this weekend and informed Reservations that we would be using our NewsDakota Wheeler Dealer (Paid upfront hotel stay tickets). We believed our trip we set and arrived at the hotel after a 3.5-hour drive to be told by the Front Desk Clerk that the General Manager (Ralph Kay) would not honor the use of the tickets because there was an event in town. We explained that we made the reservation with ample time and there had been no issue at the time of booking and we had used full disclosure. The Front desk clerk insisted that the General Manager stated no he would not honor the tickets. We informed her that 1 of the night's stays expires on 9/30/23 and we had planned to use it before expiration. It did not matter! So, we drove to Minot and will now be out our money spent on Wheeler Dealer and paid an additional $353.00 to book a different Hotel for 2 nights. Truly poor Customer Service on the General Manager's part. If he truly recognized the bottom line, he would have recognized the importance of keeping loyal customers- ones that have previously stayed at the hotel and recommended it to friends. We will absolutely never pay another penny to stay at this hotel and will never recommend it to anyone ever again. So short sided on his part!

The BEST!!!!! Love the highland!!!! It's home away from home.... every one is super nice and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. One of my favorite places to stay..... Ive stayed all over the country in the most fanciest places and little highland suites in minot nd by far blows them out of the water based on customer service alone. Thanks guys for making it feel like home when we are away from home!!!!!
