Comfort Suites San Angelo near University

AWFUL! DO NOT STAY HERE! Information on booking.com is wrong and I was treated so poorly because of it. They are NOT pet friendly or human friendly. There are multiple, countless hotels in San Angelo, so there is no reason to stay at this one, other than sheer desperation. Upon my husband checking in, I took my dog to the restroom on the dirt/pasture on the outer edge of the property (there was no other place to use). A hotel employee claiming to be the manager made a point to walk out to the outer edge of the property where I was to say they are not pet friendly and I couldn’t have my dog here. I explained I specifically looked for a property that was and chose this hotel based on booking.com showing them they were pet friendly. (The reservation had already been placed and we had just driven 5 hours to get here from out of state). She was adamant about it, didn’t care the reservation was falsely represented, told me they would charge me $75 for the pet stay, plus $10 per day and for our reservation, even if I found another property that WAS pet friendly. (Keep in mind it was 3:30 in the afternoon, early enough for them to consider options and to do the right thing.) So once in the room, I called downstairs to ask for upper management’s contact information to discuss our current situation. Shelley, who answered the phone, gave me the contact information and began to repeat the exact same policies I had already been given in the extreme heat. But, Shelley added in because we were headed to a birthday party that evening, WE WOULD HAVE TO TAKE THE DOGS WITH US! Listen, pet charges are fair enough. I get it! But at this point, we clearly weren’t wanted here, and they had no consideration for working with us in any way, shape or form. If the COMFORT SUITES property had not been falsely represented, we, the customers, wouldn’t be in a situation we had no intention of creating. The employees went out of their way to be adamant, unforgiving about this new policy of their’s ( just changed on July 1st by the way) and now they are telling me I must take the dogs in the extreme heat to a function they should not be at. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!. That was it! I refuse to stay at a hotel that is so unwelcoming, unpleasant and unaccommodating for the situation we found ourselves in. We left the room within the hour and found a place to stay that was glad to have us. EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE!!!

DON'T STAY HERE! RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGER ATTENTION: DO NOT STAY AT COMFORT SUITES SAN ANGELO, TX! They overcharged me for six nights and won't issue the credit! All this after their desk clerk opened my door and tried to come into my room at 10 pm! Then acted like she couldn't care less when I called the desk. Their GM, Angela Murray chooses not to answer email or phone calls. And customer service says she is the only one who can issue credit. She apparently comes to work when she wants, since she is not there when I'm told to call. On top of all this, the place is run down. There were holes in my sheets. Holes in the blackout curtain. The rooms were generally unclean. I will never stay there again, and I will pursue all remedies to get my money back from this hateful, unprofessional, rude woman, Angela Murray.

Ugg All nice hotels booked. Lobby was nice and staff very helpful. But our room was old/scuffed everywhere and in bad need of refresh. Greasy handprints on phone and chair. Lampshade totally falling apart. I went over everything with Chlorox wipes. Bed was firm, but comfortable. Hotel was quiet. However, this is my last Comfort. We stayed at 2 on this trip and both were beat up and too pricy compared to nicer hotels.

Great Stay In the last month, we have stayed at Comfort Suites San Angelo twice, and both visits were great. The rooms were clean, cool and comfortable. There seemed to be some construction going on during our stay, but while we could see tarps and plastic sheeting up around certain areas, we never heard a thing. The front desk staff is very friendly, and super helpful. The parking lot is spacious, and was well lit at night, which is an excellent safety feature. Our daughter is attending Angelo State University, and the hotel is very close to campus and other attractions around the city. This will be our go-to place to stay when in town visiting our daughter.

Refuge From Hurrican Ida The Comfort Inn provided a beacon of hope during a devastating time. I cannot say enough about 2 exceptional employees who provided comfort, hope and empathy during a horrible time. Miss Jo Jo at the front desk is an incredible young woman and a exemplary professional. She holds her standards high and offers an empathetic ear. Another 5 star employee would be the wonderful Miss Heather in housekeeping. Herself having survived both Hurricane's Katrina and Rita, knew what we survived and was swift to offer a caring ear. These 2 women served as my guardian angels during the aftermath of the storm and I will be forever in their debt. An additional plus was the incredible breakfast! Best I've ever had!
