Clean Rooms and Friendly Service The Hampton Inn San Angelo has its pros and cons. While the property is older and in need of updates, our room was clean, and the service was excellent—definitely a highlight of our stay. "For our next visit to the area, we might explore the newer property across town, but the clean rooms and excellent service here make this Hampton Inn a reliable choice

Needs some renovation Hotel was shabby and sad. Room was short on lighting and furniture was missing. I was hesitant to walk on the carpet with bare feet. Mold in the shower and sink was cracked. The one bright spot was the woman in the breakfast room. She was welcoming and very helpful.

Time to Sell to Super 8 So, I'd like to preface this review with this. Not to brag, but I am a Diamond member of the Hilton Hotels chain which benefits include special parking spots, room upgrades when available, welcome gift bags, etc. Normally, the desk clerk recognizes Hilton members thanking them for being a participant in the Hilton frequent traveler club; I was not. The check-in process went smoothly although I was not recognized as a Hilton Travel Club member, offered the welcome gift bag, or told that a room upgrade wasn't available. The room was okay, clean, and cool. However, the shower was not fully functional. When the shower head was engaged, water sprayed out of the tub spout onto the bathroom floor and the tub drain was clogged causing us to stand in water as we bathed. As I have said before, all hotels should rely on their housekeeping staff to inform maintenance of any mechanical issues. It is not the travelers' obligation to do so. They should be required to complete a checklist on every room they service. I realize I am now asking that every housekeeper be literate and competent enough to complete these forms, but that is a failure of the hiring practices of the local hotel management.

NOT a good experience!!! I would not recommend staying here until some things are resolved. They did not have our rooms ready for over 2 hours past check in time, then the rooms both had an odor to them, and were dirty. There was a hair in one of the sinks and there were several hair ties on the floor in the bathroom on the other room, indicating it had not been cleaned. There were no towels in the pool area and when I asked they said they did not have any clean "pool" towels and I could not use the room towels. I wouldn't let the kids in swim after entering the pool area any way because it was cold, cloudy and smelled fishy. And there was what appeared to rust in several areas on the bottom of the pool. Breakfast was a joke. They were "out" of several basic items at breakfast and when the food/drinks that they did have were gone they did not replenish unless asked. Once asked, it then took 15-20 minutes to get more food and coffee out to the guests. The staff was dressed very unprofessional, wearing t-shirts and shorts with no name tags. The hotel is outdated and is in need of repairs and remodeling. I don't like leaving a bad review but this was UNACCEPTABLE and I don't want other guests to have the same experience. I did make a formal complaint through Hilton so hopefully these issues are addressed soon.

Over priced for quality of the experience Our room was tired (especially bathroom fixtures), it was located on the second floor, the floor above squeaked and creaked with every movement of the guest above and the elevator was out of service. On the positive side, the lady running the breakfast room was very pleasant.
