Beauty and brains combine to deliver potent anti-aging and wellness services at Fort Worth Total Body Care. A team of aestheticians take care of everything from deep-cleaning facials to microdermabrasion. Fort Worth Total Body Care also has board-certified physicians that can step in and handle other beauty concerns. The doctors can eradicate wrinkles with Botox, hydrate skin with Juvederm, and eliminate spider veins. All services are offered in a relaxing, welcoming environment, with staff dedicated to rejuvenating youthful appearances.
Even the products that line the med-spa’s shelves seamlessly blend science and aesthetics. Many of their treatments use Skinceuticals, a line developed by anti-oxidant pioneer Dr. Sheldon Pinnel, whose claims are backed by a library’s worth of clinical studies.
Lux Nail Spa first opened the doors of its Keller studio eight years ago, but it wasn't long before the family-owned business found itself in enough demand to open a second location in Fort Worth. Between the two studios, they offer extensive manicuring and pedicuring services, body waxing, and, most recently, eyelash extensions. But their success is built upon much more than just a service menu––the staff genuinely enjoys meeting, talking, and swapping chili recipes with new people, and pampers clients with little extras including complimentary water, soda, or wine.
Lifelong friends Teresa Fisher and Kaylyn Sisk took the most important risk of their lives together: they traded an eight-hour workday for an entrepreneurial path that would also allow them to spend more time with their loved ones. After doing extensive research, they combined their experience in the cosmetology and tanning industries and opened Tan 2 Glow, providing UV-free tanning. In addition to earning several certifications in the field, Teresa and Kaylyn also traveled to West Hollywood to train with Infinity Sun—a company whose tanning formulas are beloved by celebrities seeking everything from subtle tans for the red carpet to obvious tans for stealing all a room’s attention.
With their newfound knowledge, Teresa and Kaylyn started their business by offering mobile tans and tanning parties while working out of a sophisticated salon. Eventually, they opened their own studios in Fort Worth and Denton, where they now mist bodies with FDA-approved, all-natural, and paraben-free tanning solutions. In addition to one-time spray-downs, they also offer memberships and bridal packages. When they aren't bronzing bodies in-studio, Teresa and Kaylyn host spray-tan socials with gift bags that make the day special for bachelorette parties, birthdays, and solar eclipses.

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
When guests are in my chair, they are my center focus. Their happiness is like my own. To deliver that, it's imperative I really listen to their needs, thoughts and concerns to achieve their desired look; that's exactly what I do.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Working in the beauty industry has been an absolute dream for the last decade but it did not come without sacrifice! Long days and late nights weren't easy after becoming a mother. My family was my initial inspiration to pursue working independently. It's allowed me the best of both worlds.
What do you love most about your job?
The people! I've been so lucky throughout the years to have met some of the most amazing and inspiring people. Knowing I can make someone's day by using my gifts and talent is priceless.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
Many times I've been genuinely thanked for taking the time to listen to my guests not only about their desired look but also life in general.
The Lash Lounge's founder Anna Phillips—an advanced certified eyelash-extension trainer—once traveled the nation to impart the art of semipermanent eyelash application to scores of fellow lash artists. Now, at all of Lash Lounge's locations, such artists work to ensure that every guest returns to their day-to-day activities batting fuller, darker lashes. They meticulously apply each synthetic strand to a natural lash with medical-grade glue, imbuing peepers with a customized, natural look that can last up to two months with proper care. Applying lashes of varying lengths, thicknesses, and degrees of curl, they have earned the praise of publications including Allure magazine and Women's Wear Daily.
They also strive to eliminate lengthy daily makeup applications with permanent-makeup services. After a complimentary consultation, a staff of licensed aestheticians and permanent-makeup artists precisely applies permanent eyeliner, lip color, or third eyebrows. For those who prefer makeup that washes off, Anna has concocted her own line of mineral cosmetics, brushes, and primers.
