The 18-hole "Prairies" course at the The Prairies facility in Cahokia, Illinois features 6,700 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 71.7 and it has a slope rating of 127 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Dick Gundlach, the Prairies golf course opened in 1996.

The Highlands Golf and Tennis Center opened in April 2010. The 18 month renovation period included updates to the club house, pro shop and golf course. All 9 holes of our course were renovated and a driving range was added making it the only range located in the City of St. Louis. The Highlands also maintains a fully operational restaurant with patio with a breathtaking view of the ninth hole and driving range. Our thirteen clay tennis courts, the only public clay courts in the city, are open during daylight hours with four lighted courts for play after sunset.
Quail Creek is a Par 72 with four sets of tees, playing from 5500-7000 yards. From the back tees, Quail Creek is tied for the most difficult public course in the St. Louis area with a slope rating of 141 and is all an accomplished player wants. From the middle tees, it is demanding, and the forward tees are playable by all. Many fairways are narrow and many shots carry a risk-reward ratio.

Forest Park golfers can enjoy one of the finest public courses in the country. Although the Forest Park golf course was built in 1913 on the site of the 1904 World's Fair, today the Norman K. Probstein Community Golf Course and Youth Learning Center in Forest Park is all new.
Stan Gentry, chief architect for Hale Irwin Golf Services Inc., reconfigured the 27-holes to three nine hole courses, which can be combined to be played as 18 holes, lending more variety and flexibility for golfers. All three courses have lush zoysia fairways and are par 35. They are named for trees found in St. Louis: Hawthorne, Dogwood and Redbud.

Built in 1901, historic Normandie Golf Course is the oldest Public golf course still in operation in it's original location, West of the Mississippi River. Designed in St. Louis by Robert Foulis, a disciple of Old Tom Morris of St. Andrews, Scotland fame, the course is a true delight to play. The Creve Coeur Golf Course is a municipal nine-hole located in the heart of Creve Coeur. The course measures 3,050 yards from the men's tees and 2,419 yards from the women's tees. With the course length, you might think it would be easy to tame, but that's not the case. With a slope rating of 109 for the men and 104 for the women, and a course rating of 67.6 for men and 68.8 for women, the course is a tremendous challenge.
