The certified massage therapists at Calming Hands Massage LLC understand that everyone's body is different. That's why every session starts with a chat about client-specific aches. From there, therapists Oriana and Sidney draw up tailor-made blueprints that fall within the broader categories of Swedish, deep tissue, pregnancy, and reflexology massages. Though the treatments differ, the overarching goal is to oust stress and help relieve chronic aches and pains. Located inside an elegant, white manor, even the spa building itself aims to put folks at ease.
Tree of Life Massage Therapy alleviates bodily tension with more than six types of massage modalities. Each of their massage types lavishes muscles with customized strokes that emphasize complete relaxation. Aromatherapy oils augment some massages, infiltrating olfactory glands with the rejuvenating waft of essential oils, and hot stones—an area in which they carry a special certification—melt away tension.
Elements Massage fends off unnecessary medical procedures with soothing techniques that trigger the body's natural healing abilities. Clients are paired with therapists who assess their specific aches and health conditions. They then use four levels of pressure and a blend of up to six modalities, such as deep-tissue, and Swedish massage to create a customized massage. Their soothing kneads combat pain, loosen tight limbs, and disperse oxygen and nutrients throughout the body.
Licensed aestheticians at Art of Aesthetics Skin Care tailor each skin care treatment to their clients' needs. They believe in diagnosing and preventing skin issues instead of finding a quick fix. They also enhance their custom facials with specialty mask treatments such as the Myoxy-Caviar mask to fight wrinkles, and the soothing rosacea treatment packed with green tea, chamomile, and licorice.
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
In 1997, I was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a rare degenerative eye condition, that left me visually impaired. It was a blessing in disguise. My diminished sight has allowed for greater sensitivity in my hands and the heightened ability to suss out muscular pain.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Inspiration came by way of knowing that massage is an integral part of the healing process; as
your mind releases it's stress it allows a renewed sense of well-being to flow through your body.
What do you love most about your job?
My "Guiding Eyes" dog O'rourke and I enjoy meeting new people from all different walks of life.
Knowing I have the ability to make a difference in my client's lives through touch is most rewarding. This, in itself, keeps me going day to day.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
Since a referral is the kindest compliment I can receive I would say that is the best feedback I receive.
