Flying Lessons in and near Sterling, VA

I had an absolute blast with this Discovery Flight experience. My instructor was Tony Ipinia and I couldn't have asked for a more proficient yet fun instructor for my first ever flight on a small airplane. Safety is number one priority for this school and Tony was constantly in touch with me before my actual flight. He made sure the weather was just right and gauged my comfort level before embarking on this flight. Now since I did have some prior flight sim experience, Tony let me do a few more maneuvers with the airplane while he was giving me constant constructive feedback. Throughout the session, Tony explained every little process and procedure in detail and answered all my questions that I always wanted to ask a real professional pilot. Even if you are not wanting to go to flight school, I think this is probably the coolest adventure you will ever have. So give these guys a try and you won't be disappointed.

It is a little tricky getting to use this Groupon since weather conditions are heavily dependent on wind speeds at flight time. Third time was the charm for us. It was a lovely early evening flight on Tuesday, 6/25, out of Martin State Airport. Mr. Khalil, our pilot, was wonderful. We both enjoyed the flight very much. For the claustrophobic - this is not for you! This is definitely a very small plane, 4 seats including the pilot. As an added bonus, By The Docks restaurant is only about 5 minutes away on Eastern Boulevarde.
