Opened in 1964 by Alan Parmelee, it has served the town of Middlefield for over 40 years. The Parmelee family continues to operate the course with meticulous care, improving it year upon year.
Designed in 1958 by the late Wendell Ross, the course at Pequot Golf Club has been played by names such as Jack Nicklaus, who in 1966 set the “official” course record of 65 which still stands today. The Southington Country Club is located in the picturesque “Apple Valley” between the Meriden and Waterbury Mountain Ranges. The Connecticut country club is a public par 71 golf course. The front nine is built on a hilly open terrain while the narrower back nine is much flatter. Water comes into play on 10 of the holes. The Southington Country Club also has a fully stocked pro shop and full service restaurant, sports bar and banquet room, The Back Nine Tavern. Nestled along the base of Ragged Mountain located in Berlin, CT., you’ll find a hidden gem, Timberlin Golf Club, a premier 18-hole municipal golf course. The Al Zikorus design constructed in 1970, features rolling terrain and spectacular views of the surrounding farmland. In 2006, a two million dollar renovation project, designed by Stephan Kay and Doug Smith, was completed. The project consisted of renovation and redesign of 50 existing bunkers, along with the addition of 12 newly designed bunkers. The renovation also included recontouring all fairways and a new computer controlled water irrigation system. Timberlin provides an experience for the beginner and expert alike with its par 72 layout and challenging 6,733 yards from the championship tees . Timberlin offers various memberships including Junior, Women, Senior and one of the largest Men’s Club organizations in the state. Woodhaven Country Club is a family owned and operated 9-hole public course located deep in the woods of Bethany, CT. Over 40 years ago, Ben and Ag Falcone started Woodhaven.
