Wine is made from grapes that have been mashed and left to age, which is why the poets have dubbed it "the hamburger of beverages." Live a refined life with this Groupon.

Held worldwide on the third Thursday of November, the Fête du Beaujolais Nouveau commemorates the annual release of that year's beaujolais nouveau wine. As the Intercontinental Hotel hosts Milwaukee's local version on Thursday, November 15, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., attendees will sample the beaujolais nouveau crafted by Georges Duboeuf amid contemporary French music and French cuisine from local restaurants.
Alliance Française de Milwaukee
French, of course, for French Alliance of Milwaukee, Alliance Française de Milwaukee transplants the culture and language of the French-speaking world to the city's Lake Michigan shores. Several teachers help students learn the smooth, mellifluous language even if they weren't born with a Frenchman's velvet tongue, and a variety of events commemorate French history, from the joyous summer hours of Bastille Day to the annual release of the beaujolais nouveau wine each fall.
