Yoga challenges the mind and body without the violence and hurt feelings of full-contact chess. Steer clear of overaggressive pawns with today's Groupon: for $36, you get a 12-class pass at Buddha B Yoga (up to a $156 value).

Buddha B Yoga's attentive instructors combine their diverse backgrounds in yoga with a passion for the practice to pack the studio's robust schedule with eight different class styles. Energizing, fiery-hued walls and gleaming hardwood flooring provide a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers during Beginner's Vinyasa classes, where inexperienced pupils learn to link a series of continuous, flowing postures together with a deep-breathing technique called Ujjayi breath, which helps to energize pose transitions and expel stray chewing gum. Yin and Yang yoga begins with sun salutations to turn stiff muscles into pliable Play Doh before longer-held poses, including back bends, inversions, and balancing poses, open hard-to-reach connective tissue around the joints. Lunchtime yoga provides busy practitioners with a well-rounded practice in one-hour sessions, strengthening the entire body with restorative bends, twists, and shouts before a period of relaxation and meditation helps to center caged spirit animals.

Buddha B Yoga

Owner and studio director Valerie Grange believes that you can "discover your true self through the healing power of a regular yoga practice and mind-body holistic therapies." She created Buddha B Yoga as a place where students of all experience levels can further their mental and physical well-being. Along with a team of diverse and experienced instructors, she leads students through various styles of yoga on the sunny studio's gleaming bamboo floors. In Vinyasa classes, students link continuous, flowing postures with the deep-breathing Ujjayi technique, or turn stiff muscles into pliable play-doh during Yin and Yang yoga's sun salutations.

The studio offers wellness services in addition to classes, soothing stressed ligaments with massage, acupuncture, and reiki sessions. Demonstrating their passion for the earth, the staff promotes veganism and hosts workshops to raise funds to help rescue animals and spirit animals in need.

The Groupon Guide to: Fancy Hamburgers

Hamburgers used to be the official food of the common man: everyday ground meat put to flame or, sometimes, simply confetti mixed with gravy and shaped into a crude disk shape. But, no more: hamburgers, like all foods in our country, have been given the gourmet treatment. Here are some of the top fancy burgers:

  • Winning Gold at the Burgerlympics: This burger has foie gras for buns, is made from Kobe beef, has blue cheese flown in from the rudest part of France, and is drizzled in ketchup so rich it’s legally recognized as blood in some of the worst hospitals. It is, of course, disgusting, but since when has that mattered?

  • The Fonz Burger: Served in a leather jacket, wearing sunglasses, brought to the table on a (complimentary) motorcycle, and only tastes good for about halfway through

  • The Extra-Delicious Burger: Not just Prime beef and not just grass-fed free-range beef, this burger is guaranteed to have been loved by a child at some point.

  • The You Burger: The latest in the custom food trend, this burger is formed in the exact size and shape as you were when you were born.

  • The Billion-Dollar Burger: Two kinds of lettuce

Are burgers happier when they involve sadness?

Reviews

  • Lots of natural light, clean, and the color scheme just makes its a very serene and warm place. The instructors I have had are also very good.
