Located in the middle of Culver City's foodie row a block down from the Culver Steps, this unassuming counter service place serves up really good fried chicken as well as other items heading into the soul food category. Chicken was perfect, crispy and moist (alright the breasts were a little drier than the rest, but just eat them first and everything's fine), well-spiced fries, nice biscuits, classic comfort food. Order at the counter, eat at community-style long tables. Lemonades offered as a specialty. Counter people were friendly and not condescending to the people using Groupons. I would have not have been here on this occasion were it not for the Groupon, so I would say that Groupon served its purpose and now I know of a great fried chicken place not far from LAX that is a good value at regular prices.
Honey's has a parking lot out back (which I didn't know), I would check that out first as on this busy Saturday evening I spent $8 parking at the Steps.
