A team of dedicated instructors coaches students through 26 body-bending Bikram poses in the sultry studio at Bikram Yoga of Oswego. During each class, yogis engage in a series of standing and floor poses tailored to foster deep breathing, improve circulation, and increase flexibility. Amid temperatures of up to 105 degrees, taut muscles mold into artful poses, which oxygenate the lungs more quickly than getting CPR from a hot-air balloon. Students sweat out toxins and stretch sinews in Bikram Yoga of Oswego's chic studio space, which gleams with glossy hardwood floors, wall mirrors, and suspended chandeliers that yearn to one day touch their toes.
At Studio B Dance Co., owner Brandi Doyle and her friendly team of instructors empower youngsters to express themselves through the art of dance, whether recreationally or competitively. Their dance camps and classes for ages 3 and older cover a variety of disciplines, such as ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. Students can show off their graceful footwork during an array of special events held throughout the year. Adults can also visit the studio to participate in rump-shaking Zumba classes that synchronize rhythmic cardio exercises with energetic Latin music.
Dynamic Health and Fitness's 2,000-square-foot facility gives exercisers enough elbow room to sprint toward their fitness goals during individual and group training sessions. Sisters Candy and Melissa have both loved fitness all their lives, but they didn't find the right cardio workout for them until they started taking Zumba classes. They both found it highly effective and disarmingly fun, and decided to get certified to teach it. Melissa went on to add the title of certified yoga teacher to her array of fitness credits. They opened Sister Fitness to share their joyful forms of exercise with friends, family, and clients.
