How to Choose the Right New York Tour

Bus & Hop-On Hop-Off Tours

Cover Manhattan, Brooklyn and beyond at your own pace. Day-passes let you hop off for photos, food and shopping, then hop back on without extra cost, ideal for first-timers and families.

Statue of Liberty & Harbor Cruises

Get unobstructed skyline views from the water while an onboard narrator shares the harbor’s immigrant history. Options range from one-hour express trips to three-hour dinner cruises.

Walking & Food Tours

Explore NYC’s melting-pot neighborhoods on foot with a local guide. Sample bagels in the Lower East Side, street art in Bushwick or jazz haunts in Harlem, all in 2–3 hour itineraries.

Helicopter & Aerial Experiences

Take flight for unrivaled vistas of Central Park, Yankee Stadium and the Freedom Tower. Choose daytime rides for crystal-clear photos or dusk departures for golden-hour magic.

NYC Tour FAQs

Prices on Groupon start at $10 per person for walking tours and average $25–$45 for bus or boat options. Helicopter rides begin around $179, but flash sales can drop rates by up to 40 %.

See NYC Fast! Express Sightseeing Bus Tour + Statue of Liberty Boat Cruise Combo for 4
It was really one thing after another. We got there around 10 o’clock in the morning and was told the next bus is about 15 minutes away then about 10 minutes later they said that that bus had broke down and that they were sending another bus and it would be here in 30 minutes. We were waiting in the sun for about an hour and 15 minutes before the bus came. Then the bus pulled up behind another tour bus and they loaded the bus from there so we were waiting at the front of the line and instantly were at the back of the line. Fortunately, we got on the bus, and as the bus started leaving, they handed us headphones and only out of the four seats. We were sitting in one of the units worked. There were no announcements of where we were or what we were doing or what we were seeing. We then got on the boat and there was somebody announcing landmarks and after about 15 minutes that stopped. When we got on the bus to finish the tour, it brought us back to our last stop where we had to get off and catch another bus because that one was going back to the boat tour. Weir had to wait another 20 or 30 minutes till we got the bus to bring us back to where we start in. It was far from seeing New York City fast. We started the day a little after 10 AM and didn’t get back to the last stop till after 4 PM.
