A Chat with Moro Performance
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Our 4,000-square-foot facility is brand new and features 35 yards of artificial turf with rubber infill (that cleats and spikes can be worn on), five inlaid platforms, and a multitude of performance training equipment. Each member of our staff is college-educated in an exercise- or sport-related field.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
We keep our classes limited to 10 members per class, and this allows us to have accountability on each member and be able to provide individual attention not found in overpopulated group classes. We take pride in the camaraderie and sense of community you will find at our gym.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
While Anthony was in the Marines as a Recon Man, he had always wanted to open a gym. After a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis didn’t allow him to reenlist after eight years of service, he finally set to open Moro Performance. Running a gym is an extension of Anthony being a lifelong athlete and Marine.
What do you love most about your job?
Hands down, the best part of coaching and training is when someone accomplishes a task or movement that was thought to be above his or her skill level. It’s also great to hear that members not only feel better about themselves and their bodies, but daily tasks become easier as well.
