Many older movie theatres in St. Louis have upgraded their facilities to include luxury amenities, such as in-theater dining, and many new ones take these features as a given. For instance, MX Movies ups the ante on the typical cinematic experience with a menu including pork buns, scallops, and beer. Even the snacks are a cut above many other St. Louis cinemas, with gourmet twists such as bacon-dusted popcorn. Still, in terms of pure presentation, it’s hard to beat the St. Louis Science Center, which presents documentaries in a stunning 70mm IMAX format.
