Like performing beat poetry in binary code, rigid and inflexible muscles can get you mistaken for a robot. Disentangle faulty circuits with today's Groupon: for $20, you get one three-hour yoga workshop at Yoga on High, located on North High Street (a $40 value). Choose from three workshops:
- Sunday, March 6 from 1 to 4 p.m.: Yoga Foundations Workshop
- Saturday, March 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Intermediate Yoga Intensive
- Sunday, March 27 from 1 to 4 p.m.: Yoga Foundations Workshop
Yoga on High reanimates worn-out bodies through a broad range of yoga, meditation, and breathing classes for new students and experienced yogis alike. Beginning benders absorb yoga basics in the Yoga Foundations Workshop, designed to help clenched muscles unfurl through breath awareness and key yoga poses, such as standing poses, forward bends, and slapstick pratfalls. Yogals and guys with previous experience are destined for the Intermediate Yoga Intensive workshop, where they will discover new poses that focus on alignment and work from the core of the body. Flexing fanatics return to their mild-mannered lives with more energy, increased flexibility, and an eerily quiet state of mind. Students are encouraged to bring their own mat, but are welcome to borrow one from the studio if they do not own one or refuse to pad the pockets of yoga-mat tycoons.
Yoga on High's founding partners have a combined 75 years of yoga experience and host several nationally recognized yoga teachers each year. This community-focused yoga haven lives out the principles of peace and loving kindness, offering free yoga classes for the unemployed and reading bedtimes stories to downward-facing dogs.
