Very Clean, Room did NOT have old motel smell Staff were very cordial and helpful. Front desk staff excellent. Housekeeping staff excellent. Room was clean and did NOT have the older motel smell. Plenty of hot water. Only one thing kept it from a 5 star budget hotel—there was no coffee. None available in the room and none available in the lobby! The staff was apologetic about it but they did not provide coffee as a courtesy or to purchase. Even a budget hotel should have coffee.

Convenient location We chose this place for value and location, and it was good for those. Easy to find, a couple of restaurants and a bar close by and more restaurants in the town centre about 20 mins walk. The room was basic but served our needs. It contained a big fridge, a microwave, a big TV, even an iron and ironing board. There were plenty of towels(and even flannels, a nice surprise) as well as soap and shampoo. The shower took a little while to rum warm but once it got there, the hot water was plentiful. The only two problems we had were that the wash basin was missing its plug (we always take a universal bath plug when travelling when travelling, but even without that you could have put the ice bucket inside the wash basin, and the smell. My first thought was that at some point in the past it had been a smoking room and the smell had never really cleared, but then I began to think it must have been more recent. Being from the UK, I'm used to all hotel rooms being non-smoking, but maybe smoking is still allowed in rooms in the USA? Anyway, the supermarket in the town centre sold a large can of air freshener for just over a dollar and repeated and Liberal use of that helped no end. The man on check-in and the woman who cleaned the rooms seemed nice and friendly

OVERATED BUSINESS We reserved a king room and instead got a double. The shower was not in good sanitary condition, the water doesn't no go down the drain and it comes up to your ankles. The sheets had fresh cigarette burns, hair and stains. I put on white new socks and walked 5 steps to the bed and they got soiled. That linoleum floor had not been cleaned. The bathroom light switch and fan is the same, so the fan is so loud it'll wake up other people in the room. Not working clothes hangers.

Basic and works well for one night. Normally, we stay at the Best Western on our way down to our Florida place, but I waited too late to check and it was completely booked. America's Best Value had rooms and is pet friendly--a must for traveling with 2 kitten/cats. The owner and his dad are nice, but the rooms are definitely only a 2 star place. We had a 2 bed standard handicap room for a total of $109.89. On the good side, the bathroom was huge and had a walk-in shower--a perfect place to keep the cats and their litter box. On the down side, the key lock didn't work at first and the dad had to fix it. We were in room 106 on the right side. Everything is a bit on the shabby side, but is clean enough. I didn't see any bugs and I thought the bed was comfortable. For one night, it works, but I wouldn't want to stay longer. I would still pay more for the Best Western, but America's Best Value will do in a pinch.

No smoking room/ Pet friendly I was told to go to Gainesville for lodging and I did not listen !!!! You check in at a window . Booked a non smoking room to attend a dog competition recently Room was not non smoking ... too tired to ask for a different room after our drive there.. so just check before you unpack!!!! There is a small area for dogs to potty but be careful ... Mine snagged a chicken bone ( I retrieved it ) No dog bags available . It was quiet, as we were on the back side of the property . Nobody was available at checkout on a Sunday at 7:15 am ....note on window said be back soon. Happy Travels
