What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
From the warm greeting you receive at the door and comfortable, inviting atmosphere, to being able to reserve the actual bike you will ride via our #BookYourBike feature to data tracking, to the cool fragrance infused towels each rider receives, it's all about service and we know it.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
We have awesome instructors that use music videos, real ride footage, imagery to inspire you! We also feature data tracking on the bike via power meters and email your results to you! Yoga- we have blocks, bolsters, blankets, straps that our instructors use to help everyone find their pose.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Retired from the corporate world. Wanted to build a business that put smiles on people’s faces! Both me and my partner have been cycle instructors at BIG gyms that offered “one size fits all” classes. leaving Pros being under challenged, and newbies crushed. We knew we could do it better!
What do you love most about your job?
We are doing what we love and we love what do. We love all of your stories and want to create an atmosphere where you love to be here. All we really want to do is ride my bike with our friends. Really it can be that simple can’t it?
As a branch of the not-for-profit Advocate Health Care system, the Advocate Condell Centre Club has filled two 60,000-square-foot locations with fitness amenities for exercisers of all ages and ability levels, captained by professional and welcoming staff members. The club's philosophy follows the Advocate network's holistic approach, taking on a mission of all-over wellness with features for exercise, rehabilitative therapy, sports performance, and spa services. Much like a territorial wolverine, each of the facilities' elements—from a trove of resistance-training machines to a demonstration kitchen for cooking classes—occupies its own specialized area. Lake County magazine and Libertyville Patch have highlighted the club for its weight-loss systems and free training program for cancer patients, respectively.
CrossFit UXO traces its roots to an unexpected place: the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan. That's because the facility's owners are U.S. veterans, who now make it their mission to use CrossFit as a way to enrich the lives of fellow veterans and exercisers throughout the community. At CrossFit UXO, people of all ages and ability levels find camaraderie in getting fit, following a program that helps improve their functional strength, increase their mobility, and boost their confidence. The ever-changing workouts center around exercises that include lunging, twisting, pushing, pulling, and bending, but because exercises are scalable to fitness level, students varying levels of fitness can participate and expect great results.
Beyond CrossFit, CrossFit UXO also offers a warrior athlete program that's built around the needs of veterans suffering from combat-related physical and mental disabilities.
