The cod, haddock, and tuna around Plymouth Harbor haven't had much rest since the custom-built, 46-foot Katie Marie first launched into the water. That's because Captain Nathan Cavacco and the team at Plymouth Watersport don't give them many breaks. Captain Cavacco?who's been fishing since he was young boy?steers the Katie Marie out to the deep sea, where he and his crew supply all the knowledge, bait, and equipment needed to reel in prize catches.
Plymouth Watersport's about more than fish, though. For more than three decades now, the business has rented out watercraft, and today that means boats, kayaks, and Jet Skis that would have baffled our dolphin-riding ancestors. Aside from fun on the water, the company also provides a more practical service: operating beach ferries and water taxis.
