Deborah Marasco has been a licensed massage therapist since 2001, but her experience goes far beyond an understanding of Swedish massage techniques. Her background also includes kinesiology, personal training, bodybuilding, and physical therapy. But perhaps even more important than all that is her own experience with surgeries and chronic pain, which has filled her with a sense of empathy for all of her patients. This diverse blend of knowledge and personal experience informs her treatments at Massage by Deborah, which can range from pregnancy massages to sports-injury treatments to simple relaxation massages.
The philosophy at Restful Waters Massage is healing therapies to refresh the body and rejuvenate the spirit. They have a deep understanding of body work and use that knowledge to create an individual treatment plan as unique as each of their customers. Massage, energy work, essential oil therapy and other treatments are used in harmony to create the therapeutic experience.

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
I have had Fibromyalgia for over 20 yrs now and massage therapy has been the biggest factor in managing
this condition. I know chronic pain and I know how to treat it
with Massage. Let me help you find the keys to an active, happy, and full life once again.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
My business partner and I started this business right after graduating from The Lauterstein-Conway Massage School and Clinic. I am a former EMT with a great desire to help others and years of knowledge and experience in the health industry.
What do you love most about your job?
I have always been fascinated by the human body and the connection between mind, body and spirit. With massage therapy, I am able to touch all three and heal with my very own hands. I am very familiar with pain, anxiety and depression. So,
I have compassion and understanding for my clients' needs.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
I once had a client tell me that she wondered if I prayed before her massage because she felt "healing energy" and her pain was completely gone. I loved this feedback because she not only felt pain-free; she felt the dramatic upswing in her spirit.
This result is my goal for all massages I perform.
The husband and wife owned Massage + Yoga Center has an impressive resumé—massage therapist Summer Greenlees was voted Austin's Best Massage Therapist in the Austin Birth Awards for several years running for her prenatal massages. Greenlees and husband Michael Parrish customize treatments to the needs of the individual, presenting a bevy of modalities in the form of trigger point, shiatsu, and a unique house treatment combining massage and yoga.
Their specialty, Ashiatsu Barefoot massage, blends therapeutic, deep-tissue, and relaxation massage treatments into a tension-blasting session customized for each client and whatever knots may be lurking in their musculature. Continuing with its theme of relaxation, the staff offers a selection of essential oils, salves, and Neutraceuticals, along with a variety of yoga classes, from beginner to prenatal. These yoga workouts encourage stress reduction, and their stretching facet helps clients render their limbs as malleable as a chewed stick of gum.
After completing her massage studies at Texas Healing Arts Institute, Kristen Tagle tempered her skills in the fires of a local chiropractic office. She spent this time using modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and prenatal to treat muscular dysfunction while developing an understanding of how each helped soothe particular aspects of muscular stress. Now the owner of Heart & Sole Massage, Kristen works alongside therapists who demonstrate a similar commitment to these modalities and devise treatment strategies that address clients’ particular aches and pains. Initial consultations allow staffers to review each visitor’s medical history, past injuries, physical conditions, and ill-fitting nicknames, and after the sessions they can recommend exercises and self-care therapies to perform at home. A deep-blue couples room, meanwhile, allows those celebrating a date night or a platonic date night to enjoy the soothing power of massage together.
