We are located in the heart of Houston on North Post Oak and i-10, between the Galleria and the Heights. We have a custom bar and 600 gallon still where you can see, taste and learn all about our passion, WHISKEY. What is one of your most popular offerings? How is it prepared? No matter what your fancy is, we have it. Bourbon on the rocks, Rye and ginger, Blended and soda, or even Vodka, we have it! Sample all of our products, then step up to our custom bar and order a drink. We even have some specialty products you can only get here! What was the inspiration to start or run this business? As avid whiskey drinks, we thought "if you want something done right, do it yourself". We love whiskey and craft. We thought let's do something no one else in Houston has done... Let's distill whiskey! What do you love most about your job? The best part about this Distillery is our new favorite bar is only a few feet away from our desks.

  • Witherspoon Distillery
As a young Marine, master distiller Quentin D. Witherspoon embarked on a whirlwind tour of the world. In France, he became fascinated by wine-making. In Africa, he and his fellow Marines struggled to find potable water, let alone anything stronger. It was there that Quentin decided to try his hand at distilling, and his passion for making spirits was born. After years of moonshining in the Carolinas, he eventually returned to Texas where he decided to go legit and put down roots. Working with homemade equipment and plenty of passion, Quentin produces a variety of spirits. From his award winning River Rum to the silky smooth Texas Straight Bourbon, each of Quentin’s spirits echoes the heart that he puts into each bottle.

  • Whitmeyer's Distilling Co., LLC
facet: Main type: Traditional locale: en_US title: Whitmeyer's Distilling Co. facet_type_id: 1f2e5530-5f2d-1032-b6ef-7730cfdfc976 html_text: The origins of Whitmeyer's Distilling read almost like a modern fairytale. While stationed in Germany with the US Army, Travis Whitmeyer met a girl. This girl's family lived on a small farm in the countryside, where they made beers, ciders, and schnapps out of whatever produce they had lying around. They taught Travis their trade, and when he left the Army, he brought his newfound knowledge with him, experimenting and expanding until he could make everything from peach-flavored whiskey to vodka.

  • Crystal Creek Moonshine
In many ways, the distilled spirits crafted by Crystal Creek Moonshine are a tribute to its community. The team hand-makes the moonshine right in Austin, using ingredients that they source locally and a spirit sourced from all those people that wouldn't stop dancing during the 1920s. Atop that base, they infuse inventive and exotic flavors including piping hot serrano pepper. The distillery always has at least five different products available for sample. Beyond its Texas ties, though, the story of this company's moonshine stretches all the way to Ethiopia. That's where co-founder Shane Berber was moved to action by the country's poverty. In response, he and co-founder Sam Wakefield opened Crystal Creek Moonshine as a charity-focused business, and now a percentage of the profits from each bottle sold goes to building water wells in Africa.
